Raising Funds for Puerto Rico

The photo above is from a family trip to Puerto Rico a couple years ago.

As you know, Hurricane Maria caused terrible destruction to Puerto Rico almost a month ago.

The island is near and dear to my heart because much of my beautiful family (in-law) live there and it is the birthplace of the love of my life.

Recently, I’ve been getting feedback from various potential clients that they would love to receive coaching services, but are not in a financial position to join a class or purchase a coaching package.

I want to take these two realities and find ways to create movement and connection and progress.

A very special non-profit, Team Rubicon, has boots on the ground as we speak doing what they can to help communities in Puerto Rico recover from the storm.

From their website:

Founded in 2010, Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. With over 48,000 volunteers across the country, Team Rubicon has responded to over 200 disasters across the United States and the world.”

Specifically on Operation Coqui Calling: “Team Rubicon is deployed to assist in response and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Volunteers are supporting the distribution of medical supplies and necessities in coordination with local and state authorities, conducting community needs assessments in coordination with FEMA, and providing debris removal and chainsaw operations with assistance from local volunteers.

Helping Puerto Rico + Supporting Military Veterans + Reaching Further with Services

I can’t think of any better way to spend my autumn months.

So, between now and Thanksgiving Day –

  1. Pay what you can (PWYC) for individual coaching sessions.

  2. Half of proceeds on these sessions will be donated to Team Rubicon – to be used for direct support in Puerto Rico.

  3. If coaching is not something you are in the market for, but want to share the love – I have gift certificates available that you can purchase and give to someone you love. Half of all gift certificate sales will be donated as well.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for showing up in any capacity to support this mission.

That’s how the light gets in.”
